Art Talk

This is me.

I'm a mom to three boys. (This is them with my parents at OCMA.)

This is The Pond, a favorite spot from my childhood growing up in Sheridan, WY.
This is me in my studio in college at the University of South Dakota.

Ok is a creative studio and process-based practice that creates original artwork, small-batch art objects, and lessons that blend play, optimism, and utility to activate delightful moments every day.

As a process-based artist and designer, I delight in crafting vivid visual narratives through the playful intermingling of bold colors, prismatic palettes, and animated gestural forms. My assembled constructions, paintings, and drawings transcend humble materials, gaining significance from the very process they undergo. In my work, spontaneity and thoughtfulness unite, intertwining studio souvenirs and mark-making mementos to provoke nuanced dialogues around memory, creativity, habit, and everyday experiences.
My practice embodies play, aiming to ignite wonder, courage, exploration, inquiry, and curiosity—a tapestry of qualities that foster resilience in the face of life's ever-changing currents.
